Our clients for this project came with us to a brief to create one of the most prestigious office buildings of its type in this central London neighbourhood. They wanted to challenge perceptions of the building, giving it a new identity to attract media and creative occupiers drawn to the Soho buzz.
The building had originally been used as a headquarters by the Football Association but was fairly modest in size for this prime location, so we began by extending the top three storeys to create more space. We stepped back these extra floors to give a distinctive, ziggurat-like roofline and a series of outdoor terraces, highly prized in this location.
