We undertook the third alteration to the site, reworking a tired 1980s building which had replaced a building by Ernő Goldfinger. Our aim was to significantly reconfigure the building, whilst adding a sense of style to the facade to improve the relationship with the street, so our key moves involved rationalising the floorplate to create additional office space alongside two new terraces, comprehensively alter the facade to improve building's appearance and refurbish common spaces and the building's main entrance.
The façade was stripped back to the granite frame and modernised with new full height glazing with anodised bronze shrouds, whilst we also comprehensively refurbished the office floorplates, tightening up the core to create additional lettable area.
