Education First (or EF) is a leading independent language school, welcoming thousands of students each year looking to learn English ‘on location’ on the south coast. EF’s Brighton home is a Grade I-listed Regency townhouse typical of the white stuccoed buildings on the famous seafront.
Commissioned to rationalise, restore and improve the building, we took our cues from what was already there, reconfiguring awkward spaces so the original features can be enjoyed afresh. We reallocated the programme, so that the more public areas are now on the ground and first floors, with classrooms and interactive learning above.
